Now, we finally have started building the shed.

December 1, 2025

The One World One Nation was one of the recipients of the
KLAB Community Beautification Grant in 2020. However, it took almost five years
of getting the plans approved from the Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering since
the space is publicly owned. It is a sidewalk converted into a food forest. Now, we finally have
the permit to build and we will start ground breaking on November 15, 2025.
We are looking for volunteers to help build this custom-made multifunctional shed. It is a shed
that will serve as storage, greenhouse, and rainwater catchment.

This project has been made possible through the support of Farm LA with guidance
from Emily Gliecher. The grant proposal was done through the expertise of
Jenny Burman. The project had been fiscally sponsored by LA Ecovillage Institute
through the assistance of Lois Arkin.

This project has been supported by the Adopt A Median project headed by
Gerry Valido. Architectural design by Kirill Volchinskiy through the
assistance of Engineers Without Borders. Initial architectural design by
Joshua Tabasuarez. Engineering permit assistance through Tanat Sadikit.
Construction supervision by Richard Ospina.
